The Gill OS32JW Coastal is a robust 2-layer sailing jacket for coastal sailing and harsh weather – cut and sewn for a woman's body so the jacket sits where it should, even when you're working on deck. The water-repellent and breathable outer fabric with fully taped seams keeps you dry and comfortable, while the quick-drying, non-absorbent lining ensures the jacket doesn't become heavy and cold.

What is a water column test
A water column test measures how waterproof a fabric is. A fabric sample is clamped into a testing machine, after which the water pressure is gradually increased. The pressure corresponds to the weight of a water column, and the test records at which column height, measured in mm, the first drops of water penetrate. 18,000 mm means that the fabric can withstand pressure equivalent to an 18-meter-high water column. This is far more than even heavy rain and sea spray. For comparison, 5,000 mm is normally already considered waterproof.

Durable nylon with DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment, which repels water on contact.
Layer 2: PTFE membrane
Microporous Teflon membrane keeps water out – and lets sweat escape.
Layer 3: Inner Layer

Below are our approximate size measurements. You are welcome to contact us if you have any further questions. The sizes are "regular", and we therefore recommend that you choose the size you usually use.
To make room for inner clothing and to insulate better, the sailing clothing does not fit tightly.
